Brown Spots Home Remedies

Brown spots are smooth dark spots, which appear with age. Most brown spots appear on the face, the throat, the shoulders and the hands. Brown spots in and of themselves are not dangerous, but they can signal something more serious, so consulting with a dermatologist is recommended.

The primary reason for the occurrence of brown spots is exposure to the sun. Make sure you make a habit of applying sunscreen every day to any area exposed to the sun – this includes your hands, arms and face.

If you have already developed brown spots, there are some home remedies that may help. Just remember, the brown spots did not happen overnight, so these remedies will take time as well!

Take a lemon and squeeze it. Apply the juice on the brown spots, Leave it on for about twenty minutes, then wash it off with a mild soap and warm water. After you apply the lemon juice on the brown spots don't go out to the sun for a few hours.
Cut a horseradish root in small slices. Be careful when you do since its scent will make you tear. Put the peaces in a bowl with boiling milk. let it stand until its warm and apply to the spots. .

You can also grate an onion and drain it through a piece of cheesecloth to get the juice. Mix a teaspoon of the onion juice with two teaspoons of vinegar and apply several times daily.
Or, slice a piece of aloe vera plant and run the "gel" from the inside on the spot!
