Eczema Natural Homemade Cures

Eczema is a chronic skin disease that is similar to a rash primarily on the face, hands, neck and legs. While it is not curable (nor is it contagious) there are some treatments that may help you feel better! Below are some herbal treatments that have been known to help relive the symptoms of eczema.

A teaspoon of sandalwood paste mixed with a teaspoon of camphor and rubbed onto the affected area may provide some relief.
On a smooth stone slab, rub some nutmeg and water to make a paste. Use the paste to rub into your eczema. Every morning and night, mix a few tablespoons of brewer's yeast with water, enough to from a paste that will cover the affected area. Gently apply it and leave it on until it dries out and crumbles off.

The following are remedies that other people have found to be effective – some are herbal and some are not, but if it works, it works!

One person claims the best thing she found for eczema is Equate Brand (found at WalMart) hydrocortisone plus, with 12 moisturizers and aloe. It took only about a week and the rash and blisters were almost completely gone. It is fairly inexpensive (about 5 dollars a tube) and it works great. Don’t stop using it until about 2 weeks after symptoms are gone or it will come back strong. Since eczema is incurable, it will come back again, but when it does simply start using again.

Cover the affected area with Bag Balm every night! It is made for cracked, dry cow udders and comes in a green tin. It can be found at Walmart and feed and pet stores.
Noxema crème will help relive the redness and pain.
Buy Tumeric from health food store in pill form and take 3-6 pills 500mg daily. Or mix with tea or put in food.
Avoid sweets, gluten, dairy or foods with fungus to balance out your intestinal flora. Find out slowly how much sweets, etc you can safely eat w/o showing symptoms. However, I suggest detox for the first few weeks including lost of Omega 3's (from Salmon, perhaps).
