Eye health is rarely thought about until you have a problem. Using an eyewash occasionally will help maintain your eye health, and may help protect from certain diseases
Here are some eye washes you can make at home to help keep those eyes shining!
Add two parts of green tea to one cup of water. Supposedly this will make you eyes feel refreshed and brighter!
Another herbal eyewash recipes mixes bayberry bark, eyebright herb, goldenseal root, red raspberry leaves and 1/8 teaspoon of cayenne! This mixture will not only heal pink eye and glaucoma, but also make your eyes bright and shiny!
To make an eyewash from the herb eyebright, use one ounce of eyebright to a pint of boiling water. Let it steep for ten minutes. When its cooled, use three drops of this tincture with a tablespoon of boiled water (just make sure you wait until its cool enough to place in your eyes!)
Chamomile is another popular eyewash. Make a tincture of chamomile leaves and just boiled water, then add twelve drops of the tincture to hot water. When it’s cooled, place in eyes.
You can also place cooled tea bags on your eyes to help sooth them if they are feeling tired and droopy!
